Healing Prayer Ministry

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Luke 9:1-2)

Healing was central to our Lord's ministry on earth.Through healing prayer, we seek to bring this ministry to anyone seeking physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing for themselves or others.

We welcome all to receive healing prayer on the first Sunday of each month at the 10 o'clock service during communion in the Messiah Chapel. We will offer to anoint you with oil as a prayer in itself, as well as a reminder that, just as we are sealed as Christ's own through baptism, He is always present to love and heal us.

We believe that healing comes from God and seek only that His Will be done. Thus, "healing" may not be the same as "curing." Healing may take the form of restoration of health, but it may also involve reconciliation with oneself and others, or a renewed sense of God's love and sustaining peace.
